To determine your hat or cap size by measuring your head circumference and dividing it by π, follow these steps:

Steps:

  1. Measure Head Circumference:

    • Use a flexible measuring tape.
    • Wrap it around your head where the hat would sit—just above your ears and across the middle of your forehead.
    • Record the measurement in inches or centimeters.
  2. Divide by π:

    • Use the formula:Hat Size=Circumferenceπ
    • π is approximately 3.14159.

Example:

  • If your head circumference is 22 inches:Hat Size=223.141597(US hat size)
  1. Convert to Hat Size Standards (if needed):
    • For US hat sizes, the number calculated above is your size.
    • For metric sizes (used in some countries), multiply your head circumference in centimeters by 0.3183 (or divide by π).

This method works because dividing by π gives the diameter of your head, which corresponds to the hat size in many sizing systems!
